About Me

Hi my name is Michael Zanaty, I am a senior at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I am studying geology with a specific interest in environmental preservation and Hydrogeology. This is just one of the many interests I have, that include soccer, video games, and any sport or activity that requires some strategy.  I have spent hours and hours pouring over the intricacies of soccer and formations and proper technique.

I have spent a large amount of time playing video games throughout my life and it is one of my greatest hobbies, I enjoy it more than books or movies. In that pursuit I have gone to tournaments for video games because I have played that much of one game. My favorite video games ever are The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Shadow of the Colossus. The latter of the two I consider actual art and it is not praised enough.

I have spent my entire life playing soccer and maintaining some tie to it all these years. When I was young I played on a traveling soccer team, and a club soccer team. After that I went to high school and played on my team for three years. I then moved to refereeing soccer and saw yet another side of the sport I had not previously known. There are many aspects to soccer and to this day it has remained as one of my favorite sports if not my favorite.
